10 Amazing Ways to Blast Your Sales into the Stratosphere

By Rick De Lima

You hear business owners whining about sales every day.  They are too busy or too broke to do anything about their lagging sales.

There's that word again "Sales".  Let's face it, if you plan to stay in business for any length of time; you're going to have to sell something.

So why do so many people cringe at the very mention of the "S" word?  There is no other way I know of to make money in your business.   Most people would rather stay broke than make an attempt to sell something.

"I'm an artist or an idea person, I don't like to sell" they say.  Well, you might want to consider the fact that if you've ever done any of the following...

·             Had parents

·             Grew up with brothers and sisters

·             Graduated from school

·             Got a job

·             Went on a date

·             Made a friend

Then guess what?  You've been involved in sales.

It doesn't really matter if you provide a product or a service.  Either way you've got to trade whatever you've got for money if you want to survive.

Anytime you exchange value for value, e.g. products for money, then you've been involved in the sales process.  It's always been that way, and it's not likely to change any time soon.

So what if you could make your selling job easier and more successful?

You can if you follow these 10 proven tips to blast your site sales into the stratosphere.

1.      Give your visitors plenty of options to contact you.  Put up a contact page.  Provide your phone, fax, email and even your snail mail address.  This will add credibility to your business.

2.    Show your visitors your human side.  Let them know they are dealing with a living        breathing person at the other end of cyber space.  Don't be afraid to personalize your (maybe a picture or personal bio) site or information.  It gives people a chance to get to know you.

3.      Always include a "P.S." after your signature in your ad copy.  The idea here is you get another chance to restate your strongest benefit.  This helps to give you a stronger close to your copy.  It's also a great time to repeat or ad your bonuses.

4.      A little flattery never hurt anyone, as long as it's sincere.  Compliment your site visitors in your copy.  Let them know you really care.  In return it will be easier to get your point across, as your visitor will be more relaxed and ready to buy.

5.      Why not produce a free ebook or report and give it away on your site?  You could offer your freebie in your newsletter to increase subscriptions.  You'll even increase your site traffic with this simple tech

6.      Don't clutter your site with so many products; it looks like a used car lot.  Pick a few products that offer the best value to your visitors.  Too many selections confuse visitors, and when they're confused the buying decision is always no.

7.      Survey your visitors occasionally to see what they want.  Once you know this, it should be easy to find or create new products to serve their needs.  This will give you fresh opportunity to increase your sales.

8.      Use your "Thank You" page to sell other products or services after your visitors buy.  Backend sales are where the real money is made.  When customers are in a buying mood, it's a great time to introduce them to your other sales pages.

9.      Use your website to produce multiple income streams.  Aside from your own products, you could offer a few affiliate products to increase your income.  Think about selling ads in your newsletter, or even on your website.  If you've got the traffic people don't mind paying for ad space.

10.  Make sure you include quality content on your site.  Offering free stuff doesn't hurt either.  If you don't want to write your own content; then you can use other writer's articles like this one to provide content.
